For the 11th edition of Dialogues inattendus, the French-American artist Peter Soriano retraces Claude Monet’s 1895 winter journey to Norway. In a large-scale wall drawing created for the Musée Marmottan Monet, Soriano enters into dialogue with the snow-covered landscapes that inspired Monet. Returning to the same sites and viewpoints more than a century later, he reinterprets these Norwegian landscapes through close observation, while reflecting on their instability, impermanence, and environmental fragility.
